Peter Fuhrman is Chairman, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of China First Capital, Ltd. He is a native of the USA. Peter founded China First Capital in 2008. Peter first came to China in 1981, as part of a first intake of American graduate students in China. Peter has his Master’s degree (M.Phil) from Cambridge University in Great Britain, and a BA in Chinese History from Tufts University (Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa). He did postgraduate studies at Nanjing University, and as a Yale-in-China Fellow at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Peter has given guest lectures and been a speaker on China-related topics and innovation at the business schools of the University of Chicago, the University of Michigan and Harvard Business School’s global alumni. Among the major media that have published Peter’s perspectives on China are The Economist, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Washington Post, Bloomberg, Reuters, Fortune Magazine, South China Morning Post, Neue Zurcher Zeitung, Nikkei Asian Review, China Daily, Singapore Straits Times, Toronto Globe & Mail. In addition he has appeared as an in-studio interview guest on CNBC. In China, Peter has lectured at Tsinghua University, been interviewed on China’s CCTV’s main national evening news broadcast, and published Chinese-language articles in the influential business journal Caijing (财经杂志).
